Not writing?

Since the last post, what have I done? Well, applied for leave of absence from my PhD, acquired a cat (Max, seen here in fully relaxed mode), presented at two conferences and had one of those papers published in

conference proceedings ('A shark in the garden: an adoptee memoir' at http://www.aawp.org.au/publications/writing-the-ghost-train-rewriting-remaking-rediscovering/). Also went to Adelaide and its wine areas for a holiday, after my partner completed a week long course in narrative therapy at the Dulwich Centre.

But 2016 has also seen the death of a long-time friend-by-correspondence, which I am not going to elaborate upon here now.

My main goal for the next two years is to finish the PhD, and particularly to write the memoir and exegesis as well as I possibly can.
